Same engine. Different outcome.

What the engine does

It finds the moment that keeps someone moving.

Councils, active travel teams, public health partners, sport governing bodies and physical activity partners use the same momentum engine to get people moving and keep them moving. The moment it finds is not a sale. It is the point where a nudge, a challenge or a crew keeps someone active.

  • The moment

    Ready to move more

A new route, a local challenge or a crew to join, offered when it will land.

  • The moment

    At risk of stopping

A gentle check-in and an easier goal. Quiet weeks never count as zero.

The outcome Active, healthier residents

Inside WeRoam

Built for residents, not athletes.

The same engine as our brand apps, tuned for people who might not call themselves active. Small wins, local places and a little friendly rivalry.

  1. WeRoam home screen: 50 of 90 minutes this week towards the Kent 150, a two-week streak, and a prompt asking whether this morning’s walk was a trip somewhere.

    Every minute counts

Weekly progress towards the 150-minute guideline, with a streak to protect. One tap says whether a walk was a trip to work, school or the shops.

  2. WeRoam Near you screen: a map of Maidstone with bronze places, a silver riverside route and a gold drop at Leeds Castle.

    Something to find today

Local places, routes and gold drops on a map. The same set for everyone out today, so neighbours head for the same spots.

  3. WeRoam Roam Collection screen: 312 places in Kent to collect, starting with three easy ones near Maidstone town centre.

    Places worth getting out for

Residents collect real Kent places just by passing them. Hit 150 minutes and a rare place is revealed next week.

  4. WeRoam town versus town table: Maidstone top this week with 36% of active Roamers at 150 minutes, ahead of Canterbury and Ashford.

    Towns compete fairly

Each town scores the share of its active residents who hit 150 minutes, so big and small towns compete on the same terms. No names, no totals.

Kent County Council commissioned Active AI to build WeRoam, to get more residents walking, wheeling and cycling, including people who are inactive. They record journeys and why they made them, collect real local places and take part in challenges. It runs on the Active AI engine.

What it covers

  • Active travel: walking, wheeling and cycling, with journey purpose recorded
  • Physical activity for inactive residents, measured against the 150-minute guideline
  • School travel, place-based challenges and community campaigns
  • Monthly evaluation and a live view for funders and partners
